APRIL 2005

Greetings and Feng Shui Blessings To All!

SPRING:  the perfect time to put your dwelling in order and rid yourself of any stagnant energy that has accumulated over the winter.  Remember, your residence reflects who you are.  Open windows, clear out clutter, clean every room top to bottom.  This is a time of renewing and revitalizing and also a perfect time to bring in a Feng Shui consultant.  The International Feng Shui Guild provides listings of Feng Shui practitioners.  You can locate a practitioner in your part of the world and also read their resume/bio to give you an idea of someone who matches your particular Feng Shui needs.

For me, this spring heralds the publication of the 4th Feng Shui mystery, Evil Intentions.  Though the titles of the books suggest bad ch’i at work, you can rely on my protagonist, Salome Waterhouse, to have the best intentions.  After all, Salome is The Queen of Good Ch’i !  She provides a wonderful way for the reader to learn Feng Shui principles and apply them.  She also sees the world a bit differently than most people-- through “Feng Shui eyes”, if you will.  The world would be a better place if we all took more careful notice of our environment and made requisite adjustments.

REMODELING:  think disruption. Think again.  Before committing, bring in a Feng Shui consultant.  Seriously.  A faceted 30 mm crystal in a particular window might just do a better job than tearing down a wall.  The divorce of Jennifer Anston and Brad Pitt, for one, serves as a cautionary tale of what can happen when you spend TWO YEARS renovating a house.  A house is a home no matter the size but one of 11,000-sq.-ft exacerbates problems that already exist.  When you are thinking about remodeling and renovation, take a serious look at your relationship with your spouse/family.  Maybe your family needs renovation first.

Those of you in the Kansas City area, please note the details of the Evil Intentions  launch party:

There will be wine and food and a drawing for a free Feng Shui consultation!

Check the events section of the website for Denise’s appearances in various cities in the U.S.  And for more information about Feng Shui, the April edition of Kansas City Wellness magazine features articles by local members of the International Feng Shui Guild.  I wrote about using Feng Shui as an investigative tool.

Wishing all of you a glorious spring!

Denise, your friend in feng shui
